Germany is considered one of the countries with the highest quality of life in Europe. Getting training and work experience in a large European country is very important for career advancement. Voluntary service in Germany also offers additional benefits in many areas.
FSJ stands for "Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr". It enables young people between the ages of 16 and 27 to volunteer with an organisation in Germany for 6 to 12 months. The FSJ is an ideal opportunity to get to know Germany and its culture and to take on social responsibility.

The Aim of the FSJ Programme

How can I do an FSJ in Germany?
- The FSJ is offered by different organisations.
- You can find FSJ offers on the internet or at employment agencies.
- An application form, a CV and a letter of motivation are usually required.
- Some programmes may also require German language skills.
